There’s a land unseen by our mortal eyes, And its joys no tongue can tell;
Where in robes of white, in its vales of light, We shall meet, and forever dwell.
O Eden, dear Eden, Home bright and fair,
Soon our bark will land on thy golden stand, And our rest will be glorious there.

This devotional from this morning's GLCC e-service spoke to me and reminded me of how needful it is to depend on the Lord in all circumstances. Hope it encourages you too.

Don't Do It Without Him

Psalm 55:17 "Evening, and morning, and at at noon, will I pray, and cry
aloud: and he shall hear my voice."

We all have something or someone that we need to pray about. Perhaps You are
facing a difficult situation, a problem that you are having difficulty in
solving, a hurt that won't go away. Perhaps there is a loved one that does
not know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. It seems however,
that instead of going to the Lord in prayer over these situations we try to
deal with them ourselves only to become depressed or discouraged, when
nothing seems to get resolved. We need to stop trying to solve problems
ourselves and come to the realization that we can do nothing without God's
help. This is sometimes a very difficult lesson to learn. There is a song
that goes:

Without Him

Without Him I can do nothing,
without Him I'd surely fail,
without Him I would be drifting,
like a ship without a sail.

Don't try to do it without Him. Let the Lord in on your problems, your
troubles, your worries, your pain, your concerns, and he will make
everything all right.
